Yoga-Mojo’s Stretch & Stress Release is an active stretching practice focusing on primary muscle groups targeting the hips, hamstrings, core & back muscles, neck, wrists & shoulders. unique about this class is it’s all on the floor!!
This practice works to release the stress and tension that tends to build up over the week. We take time in each pose and move at a slower pace to help release tension and tightness in the muscles and open the joints. We look to transition from pose-to-pose with the breath to help slow down active minds.
Following the Yoga-Mojo Method, practices begin in a seated pose with breath work, followed by movement designed to slowly awaken the body and prepare the body/mind for poses we can hold for several breaths / minutes.
While not required, you might wish to have a block (or two), a strap (belt/long scarf) and a blanket/towel available as supportive props for the practice.
We settle in for a wonderful deep rest and relaxation in Savasana — connecting with the body’s natural healing process — inviting a sense of peace and calm within.
All levels welcome.
