Teaching Methodology

- Yoga-Mojo Sequencing Methodology – The Art of Sequencing
- Creating safe Vinyasa Sequences
- Teaching Pose Categories and understanding alignment in each
- Teaching to Kids / Seniors / Prenatal considerations
- Learn the qualities of a good teacher and delivering a great practice
- Learn the principles of how to observe and the importance of ques/ and the use of language
- Correcting — and keeping student’s safe
- Learn when and how to best demonstrate
- Learning modalities: Review teaching styles including: Vinyasa, Iyengar, Ashtanga and more~
- Marketing yourself as a teacher (marketing, including social media, building revenue and legal considerations)
Anatomy & Physiology

- Physical anatomy: Musculoskeletal, and bodily systems (respiratory, circulatory)
- Energy anatomy and physiology – Studying the Chakras, Nadis, Mudras and Vayus and healthy movement patterns in the practice of yoga
Yoga Philosophy, Lifestyle and Ethics

- The History of Yoga
- The study of the Yoga Sutras and Bhagavad Gita
- Study of Patanjali’s 8-Limbs of Yoga
- Yoga Mythology and how to apply to your practice / your teaching
- Ethics for yoga teachers
- Yoga as a service (seva)
- The Business of Yoga
Practicum
10 hours
- Group and individual observation / teaching
- Provide constructive feedback
- Provide assistance and feedback
- Attend classes (1 x week minimum) at the Yoga-Mojo Studio
- Daily Asana, Pranayama and Meditation Practice (home study &/or in-class)
