Do I need to call ahead or sign up before taking a class?
While it is not necessary to pre-register for classes, space is limited so we highly recommend registering for a class on-line. To register online, please create your online profile in our system, MindBody Online. If you are new to our studio, please arrive ~15min before class to complete necessary paperwork and get familiar with the studio. Or, to save time, before you come to class — and prior to your first class — complete the waiver and release of liability form online. Or, you may download and print a copy of the waiver form here.
What should I wear and what do I need to bring?
Please dress in comfortable, loose but not too loose, clothing. Yoga is practiced barefooted and we ask that shoes be removed before entering the studio room. You might want to bring a small towel, water and yoga mat. Studio mats are available at no fee however we encourage the use of your own mat primarily for hygienic reasons. Please avoid wearing lotion on hands and feet as these may cause you to slip – and please avoid strong perfume.
Do you offer any specials for new students?
Attend a regularly scheduled group class for $10! And check the Yoga-Mojo Blog for additional specials that are offered throughout the year.
What changing facilities do you have?
Changing rooms are available however, Yoga-Mojo Studio does not have shower facilities. Please take your valuables (phone – on silent, wallet, keys, etc.) into the studio or place in the designated area.
What are the main styles of Yoga offered?
A number of classes are taught in the Vinyasa style, which is often described as a Flow class, where there is a link between movement and breath. Yoga-Mojo classes are created by Loretta Jo utilizing breath with a balance of effort and ease as we move from pose to pose.
For students who are interested in a gentle style of Yoga, check for Gentle Yoga and/or Senior Yoga or Vinyasa 1. These classes focus on gentle stretching and strengthening. All classes incorporate meditation & rest.
Yoga-Mojo Stretch & Strength is a class designed by Loretta Jo that is structured to build strength & flexibility with the holding of poses. All classes have a focus on alignment and breath.
What if I need to leave class early?
We recognize that schedules are busy and there are times when we may need to leave a class a bit early. Please let the teacher know before class that you will need to leave a few minutes early and look to find a space near the exist to place your mat. Before leaving, please lie down for a brief Savasana (final resting pose) on your own (this is an important and integral part of every yoga class and then quietly gather your things and depart just prior to Savasana to minimize class disruption.
Where do I park?
Yoga-Mojo Studio at Long Life Wellness Center (LLWC) offers parking in front, side and back of the building. Please avoid parking in our neighbors parking lot.

Yoga Studio Etiquette
To ensure everyone enjoys a calm, courteous, and respectful environment, we ask that you…
Arrive early. Getting to class 10-15 minutes ahead of time allows you to settle in and start relaxing. While waiting, you can practice a pose, stretch, or just breathe and center yourself.
Class sign in via MindBody. Find your name on the iPad located at the studio door or enter your name upon arrival (space provided) Let the teacher know you are a new student (you’ll need to do some paperwork) and let us know of any physical issues that we may need to be aware of.
Remove shoes prior to entering the studio.
Practice with compassion with yourself to avoid strain or injury and put your full intent into the class, detaching yourself from any specific result. Asana (yoga posture) means posture easily held. If at any time during the class, you feel discomfort or strain, gently come out of the posture. You may rest at any time during the class. It is important in yoga or any physical activity that you listen to your body, and respect its limits on any given day.
Let us know if you need to leave early and please do so quietly at the start or before Savasana starts, minimizing disruption in the room. We understand the balance of work and play and are grateful you’ve made the time for practice.
Be mindful of noise and host conversations outside the studio room. We do ask that conversations be kept low in order to not interrupt or distract students in class or other ongoing activities within Long Life Wellness Center. Please turn off cell phones or put on quiet.
Bring your own mat and towel. While mats are available we encourage the use of your own mat. There are many reasons to own and use your own mat. The most important is hygiene. Second, you begin to build a familiarity and connection with your own mat. Please wipe down studio mats upon completion of your practice.
Wear appropriate, comfortable, clean clothing – Not too tight and not too loose, please. Be clean, and refrain from perfumes, oils and lotions. Be mindful of your personal hygiene as well.
Make room for others. Respect your and your neighbor’s space by not stepping on or moving their mats. We do ask that you make room for your neighbor. We do our best to keep our classes at a comfortable size of 10-12 student max without having to exclude anyone from joining in. If you see another student arrive please be courteous and shift your mat a bit as needed — and extend a welcome.
Respect the teacher. In a guided class, follow along with the poses or do a modified version (options are always available) rather than do your own series.
Clean your area. If you created a puddle of sweat, wipe it with your towel. And, please return props, stacking neatly.
Pay it forward: The person next to you today might need your flow, breath, energy, and/or compassion. Our energy increases exponentially because we are together. Someone equally generous will be near you and give back when you need the same.
